Early Life[edit]
Franci Neely graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
Career[edit]
Franci was a business litigator for over 20 years and, until her retirement from active law practice, a partner at Susman Godfrey, L.L.P. These days, Franci spends much of her time as a community volunteer and philanthropist.
Franci is an ardent champion of the arts and generously supported Hermann Park Conservancy’s Art in the Park exhibits during Hermann Park’s Centennial. She sits on the boards of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she co-chairs both the Film and the Art of Islamic Worlds Subcommittees, and The Menil Foundation. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Baker Institute of Public Policy, the Moody Center for the Arts, and the founding chair of the Houston Cinema Arts Society.
Personal Life[edit]
Franci has traveled to more than 180 countries with her eye on spending time in every country in the world. She has taken trips with art groups to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, India, Andalusian Spain, Istanbul, London and Cuba. When she travels, her cameras are always with her.
