Frank Cavestani was born in New York City on a beautiful Easter Saturday morning at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital on April 24, 1943, to Rose Tully Connally Cavestani (b.1913 NYC ) and husband Joseph Cavestany (b.1900 Manila P.I.).

   Frank Cavestani was raised in New York City. His father worked for many years at the famed Copacabana night club and his mother was a New York telephone operator. Frank won a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. But his professional career began when after doing a number of projects with the New York Actors Studio, Frank took over the leading role in a play starring Shelley winters, after the lead actor broke his leg. His acting credits for theater and film are extensive as is his theater directing credits.  
   Frank was also instrumental in the founding of the now famous weekly newspaper "The Los Angeles Weekly" with publisher Jay Levin and movie actor Michael Douglas. He also is well know for his award winning documentary film " Operation Last Patrol" based on the exploits of world famous Viet Nam Veteran Ron Kovic. Frank produced and directed that film with renowned photojournalist, the now late, Catherine Leroy. The feature film "Born on the 4th of July," which Frank also acted in and was a technical advisor for, was partially based on his documentary film. 
   Frank lives and works in Hollywood with his actress wife Jade Hykush and young daughter Samantha Rose. His website, Acting on the Web.com, which he created with TV producer and playwright Michael Elias is his current project one that Frank says is designed to bring professional acting techniques and theater culture to the "masses" in the comfort of there homes.
