Frank Licari is a Canadian actor, writer, director, and producer.[2] He is well-known for his appearances in several films, including Spiral: From the Book of Saw, and TV series such as Blue Bloods and The Hardy Boys. Frank Licari is the host “On the Town in The Palm Beaches with Frank Licari” on South Florida PBS.[3][4] and has been nominated for two Emmy Awards. Licari was previously a Blue Man for the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning play Blue Man Group.[3] Licari has guest starred on numerous television shows, including Blue Bloods (CBS), The Resident (FOX), Bloodline (Netflix), Graceland (USA), Jessica Jones (Netflix), Nashville (ABC), and Burn Notice (USA).[5][6] In feature films, he has had supporting roles opposite Tom Cruise, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Mansi.[5]

Frank Licari's education concluded at American Musical and Dramatic Academy. On October 4, 2014, Licari married Natasha Sherritt, and they have one child.[7]

Acting career[edit]
Frank Licari began his career as an actor in 1993 in New York Theater performing in numerous Off-Off Broadway shows appearing in various theaters on New York’s Theatre Row. In 1996, he had a small walk-on role in “Law & Order” and appeared in films such as Trigger Happy, Devil's Advocate, and Celebrity. In 1997, Licari played the part of Santo in the CBS Television series "Dellaventura". He subsequently appeared in several independent films, including Red Lipstick, Letters from the Dead, the Gothic Line, and the Final Sacrifice.
In 2013, Licari played the role of Guard Hill in the"Burn Notice" episode "Scorched earth." He appeared in three episodes of USA Network’s "Graceland" as the Deputy Director. In 2015, Licari appeared opposite Tom Cruise as a DEA agent in "American Made.” Licari played Reynolds in the 2018 episode "Comrades in Arms" of "The Resident". Licari portrayed Dean McFarlane on "The Hardy Boys" from 2020 to 2022.[2]
Writing career[edit]
Licari began his writing career as a playwright and took home the award for “Best Original Play” at the Sears Drama Festival (Canada) in 1991. In 1993, he won “Best One-Act” at The Village Gate One-Act Play Festival (NYC).
In 2014, he co-wrote six episodes of the #1 hit Bahamian TV show, BTC Starmaker: Bahamas.
Licari has written and created various tv shows and movies, such as Walt Before Mickey; A Date with Aaditi, Click Flirt Love and Festive Cooking with Maneet for the TV Asia Network.
Since 2008, he has been writing and creating The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films Awards Show, and since 2016, On the Town in The Palm Beaches with Frank Licari on South Florida PBS. In 2022, he wrote the bio-documentaries Jose Feliciano: Behind This Guitar (Peacock Network) and Ice Ice Baby – Hip Hop’s 1st Global #1.[2][8]
Directing career[edit]
Frank Licari began his career as a director in 1995 on New York’s Theater Row, producing and directing five plays with The Zolotus Ensemble. In 2003, after opening The Atlantic Arts Academy theater in South Florida, Licari went on to direct dozens of theatrical plays, sketch comedy shows and musical theater productions. From 2012-2013, Licari directed the world-tour for 9-Time Grammy Winner, Jose Feliciano.
He began his career as a film and television director in 2017 with the television series A Date with Aaditi for TV Asia Network and subsequently directed other televisions shows for the network including, Click Flirt Love and Festive Cooking with Maneet. He has been the director of The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films Award Show since 2012. In 2020, he directed a music video for Jose Feliciano - The Chain and in 2022, he directed the bio-documentary films, Ice Ice Baby - Hip Hop's First Global #1 and Jose Feliciano: Behind This Guitar (Peacock Network).[9]

Licari has produced over 200 theater and comedy productions since 1995. He’s produced numerous television programs, such as BTC Starmaker: Bahamas, Web Series, Stark Naked, Click Flirt Love, Brawl for It All, Comedy Doctors, and On the Town in The Palm Beaches with Frank Licari on PBS.
In 2015, he co-produced the full-length feature film, Walt before Mickey. In 2017, he began producing television shows for the TV Asia Network. In 2021, he directed two music videos for the girl group The Glo Up Girls, for their Rock Your GLO and Give a Little GLO campaigns.[2]
In 2022, Licari executive produced the bio-documentaries Jose Feliciano – Behind This Guitar and Ice Ice Baby – Hip Hop’s 1st Global #1.
Other work[edit]
From 2000-2012, Licari founded and ran his own performing arts school and theater called, Atlantic Arts Academy, in Jupiter, Florida. The school has been home to thousands of students and the theater has produced hundreds of productions. Today the school is under new ownership and renamed The Performing Arts Academy of Jupiter remaining a thriving pillar of the South Florida community.
