Fredrick James Long
Fredrick J. Long (born 14/01/1966[1]) is a New Testament scholar and Greek professor teaching at Asbury Theological Seminary and has worked heavily with the publishing company GlossaHouse. [2]
Biography
Education
Fredrick J. Long attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, graduating in 1988 with a B.S. in Animal Science. In 1992, he graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with an M.Div. in Biblical Studies. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with an M.A. in Classics in Greek Literature. In 1999, he graduated from Marquette University with a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology.

During his time attending Asbury Theological Seminary between 1991–1992, he was a Research and Grading Assistant for Dr. David R. Bauer. Between 1993 and 1995, he held a Greek Teaching Fellow position at Asbury Theological Seminary.
From 1996 to 1997, he was an Adjunct Faculty at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Between 1997 and 1998, he was a part-time lecturer at Marquette University. Also, between 1996 and 1999, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant for Dr. Julian V. Hills at Marquette University.
Between 1999 and 2007, he was an Assistant Professor of New Testament at Bethel College. Between 2007 and 2010, he held an Associate Professor of New Testament position at Asbury Theological Seminary. Starting in 2011, he became Professor of New Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. Starting in 2015, he received a Director of Greek Instruction title at Asbury Theological Seminary.
