Free (Portuguese: Livres) is a Brazilian political-social movement that defends economic and social liberalism. It supports, among other policies, personal freedoms, like drug liberalization and same-sex marriage; pro-market policies, like free market, deregulation and competition; also social inclusion policies, like school voucher and charter schools. The group also advocates for federalism and representative democracy.[2][3] The movement has one mayor [4] and 3 elected aldermen and it is formed by various political and intellectual leaderships.[5]

Initially an internal faction in Social Liberal Party (PSL), the group currently forms an independent and supra-party association, having left PSL after the unilateral filiation of Jair Bolsonaro in the party [6] which principles the group classifies as being incompatible with theirs.[7]
