Free Guy is an upcoming American action adventure comedy film, directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay by Matt Lieberman. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Taika Waititi and Utkarsh Ambudkar.
It is scheduled to be released on July 3, 2020, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Production[edit]
In 2016, 20th Century Fox bought the spec Free Guy, written by Matt Lieberman.[1] On September 28, 2018, it was announced that Ryan Reynolds would star in the film, with Shawn Levy directing and producing the film through his 21 Laps Entertainment, along with Reynolds' Maximum Effort, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter's Berlanti Productions, and Adam Kolbrenner.[2] In December 2018, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer and Lil Rel Howery joined the cast of the film.[3] In March 2019, Taika Waititi and Utkarsh Ambudkar joined the cast of the film.[4]
