History
FREETOUR.com began in 2014 as an online platform for free tours. In 2018, the Austrian newspaper Die Presse described Freetour.com as a Dublin-based platform that aggregated free tour offers and provided a standardized overview for hundreds of cities.[1] El País also described Freetour.com as a global reference for free walking tours and stated that the platform had been launched in 2014 by the Dublin-based group HostelCulture.[2]

FREETOUR.com lists free walking tours, sightseeing tours, themed tours, day trips and other local experiences. Its model includes tip-based free tours as well as paid budget tours.
