FreqGen is the electronic music playground of artist/producer Klayton. Using modular synthesizer and analog hardware , FreqGen’s Transminnions album series deliver an expansive journey ranging from Ambient and Midtempo to IDM, Techno and Drum and bass. FreqGen was originally created as an "art space" for Klayton when it was still part of Celldweller. In it, the author improvised with the sound of analog synthesizer, filling the tracks with the atmosphere of a distant, unknown cosmos. As a result, Klayton liked the result so much that he decided to separate this direction from all other creativity. Dreaming is FreqGen's first album to be released entirely under a new name. Having created a new IP, changed not only the sound of his compositions within certain genres, but also the approach to creating tracks. The Transmissions album is precisely an experiment on electronic music. It was full of self-contained works: from curious reinterpretations of their own tracks to compositions in the spirit of the soundtrack to the first Mass Effect.

In 2021, pulling inspiration from '90s techno, acid house music, and hardware samplers with sci-fi undertones FreqGen kicks off Future 1990, a new EP featuring tracks titled from "Future 1990" to "Future 1994" with the years 1995-1999 to follow. The title track "Future 1990" sets the mood with a laid-back vibe, incorporating acid synth lines and rave loops with chill pads and female vocal samples.
