NinjaMuffin99 has dubbed the October 2020 Build as the Ludum Dare Build, he also said that the game was in very early stages, he was thinking on expanding on the game and said to think of the build more of a prototype than a demo.[3][4] An updated version of the game released on Itch.io and Newgrounds (for the first time) on November 1st 2020, it includes an updated title screen with a new song accompanying it, a menu, a tutorial, updated Boyfriend head assets and a second stage with Sr Pelo's Skid and Pump,[2][1] It quickly became one of the most-viewed games on the site. One of the lead developers, Tyler Cameron, "began receiving requests from “thousands of people” to keep developing the game"[5]
