Friday the 13th: Origin of Evil is a 2022 German independent slasher film produced and directed by Francesco Tesauro and based on characters created by Sean S. Cunningham and Victor Miller. It consists of three short movies. The series is an unofficial prequel to the original Friday the 13th - Part 2.

Crystal Lake, fall 1980. Two months after the events of Origin of Evil, two girls discover the truth about the legend of Crystal Lake. And they are not alone. Jason is back.

Crystal Lake, 1957. Sabrina is a lonely child who spends a lot of time in the woods. One day a strange encounter will change her life forever. Sabrina grew up, so did Jason.

Being a big fan of Friday the 13th, director Francesco Tesauro began plans to make his own prequel series. He spent approximately $20.000.
Filming[edit]
The film was shot in and around the townships of Paderborn and Höxter, Germany.
Music[edit]
Composer Harry Manfredini supported the project and allowed the crew to use all the original audio tracks.
