Frontier Lift

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Frontier Lift, known as a second sky ride, was a gondola lift attraction at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. It ran from 1968 until 1985, when it closed due to its station being removed to make way for the Iron Dragon roller coaster. This ride ran from the first station to the last station.[1] Its station, the one by Snake River Falls, is still standing. The second floor, which was used for the ride, is now used for storage and meetings, and the ground floor is now bathrooms. Its lift carts were probably repurposed on another sky ride with a repaint. A cart statue is used for HalloWeekends. A second sky ride, which operated separately from the existing one, ran from the main midway to Frontiertown. The site of the midway station is now the station for Iron Dragon, but the Frontiertown station still stands; restrooms occupy the ground floor, while the second floor is used for employee meetings and storage. A cart is still used, this time for HalloWeekends.[2] There is also a balcony on the old Frontier Lift building used for HalloWeekends.
