Fuelman
Fuelman, also known as the Fuelman Network, is a proprietary fuel payment network connecting branded and independent fuel and vehicle maintenance merchants with commercial fleets of all sizes, from both the private and public sectors.[1] Fuelman is part of FLEETCOR, a global leader in business payments.[2][3]
Fuelman began in 1985 as a small company selling fuel to business fleets from unattended, computer-operated fuel stations on leased properties positioned in and around the New Orleans area. By the year 2000, Fuelman touted pumping a billion gallons of fuel per year. In a move to incorporate emphasis on payment processing and financial technology, the company launched a new technology platform and changed its corporate name to FLEETCOR Technologies, retaining Fuelman as a fuel card brand within the company.[4]
