Glossary of Shinto |
Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine is a Beppyo shrine[1] It comprises two main shrines: the Hongu shrine, which has the majestic Mt. Fuji as its backdrop, and the Satomiya shrine, overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko. A distinctive feature is the direct view of Mt. Fuji, which aligns perfectly with a line extending from the Satomiya shrine and Otorii.[1]
It burned down and was rebuilt.[2]
