Fuller Elementary was first opened in 1962.[4][5]
Building[edit]
The original building was constructed in the 1960s.[6] In 2020, the school underwent building renovation, as part of a wider county rebuilding program with Davis Kane Architects.[7][8] The new building was opened in 2022 with a ribbon cutting, coinciding with the schools 60th anniversary.[9]
The renovation included an initial budget of $34,180,783, However, The project was finished at $31,009,648, being funded entirely by community approved capital improvement bonds.[10]

In 2024, the school got awarded the Magnet Schools of America School of Excellence merit award.[11] According to Magnet Schools of America, it is only given to select schools.[12] The school was also recognized as a nationally certified school in 2024.[13]
