Fun Home is an upcoming American biographical musical comedy-drama film in development, directed by Sam Gold in his feature directorial debut and based on Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron's 2013 stage musical of the same, which in turn is based on Allison Bechdel's 2006 graphic memoir of the same name.[1]

Concerns Allison Bechdel's discovery of her own sexuality, her relationship with her gay father, and her attempts to unlock the mysteries surrounding his life.

Development[edit]
Jake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker, through their Nine Stories Productions banner, have reportedly secured the rights to produce a film version of the musical. Gyllenhaal proposes to star as Bruce Bechdel, with Gold directing.[2]
