Fun in Balloonland is a 1965 American short film directed by Joseph M. Sonneborn Jr. and produced by Giant Balloon Parades Inc.[1][2][3]
Summary
A young boy named Sonny visits a magical place full of balloon people and animals (with fairy tale, farm, underwater and cowboy related themes) while the mother who read him a story fell asleep. The second half consists of footage of a Christmas parade in Philadelphia.[4]
Production
The theme song is by Frank E. Conner while the story is written by Dorothy Green Brown. Filming took place in Davenport, Iowa.[5][6]
Availability
It was released by Something Weird Video alongside Polly Pockets, a 1964 unsold TV pilot, on DVD-R.[7]
It is also available as a download.[8]
