"Fun to Be Fooled" is a show tune written by American composer Harold Arlen and lyricists Ira Gershwin and E.Y. Harburg for their 1934 musical revue Life Begins at 8:40. The song was sung in the original Broadway show by Frances Williams.[1] Its first recorded performance was by Richard Himber and his Orchestra, with Joey Nash providing vocals. Himber's recording of the song was released by Victor, catalog# VE B 24680, with the B-side, "Let's Take a Walk Around the Block".[2] The song has been covered by numerous artists.
