Funktasy is a Canadian based independent record label that was originally founded in 2010 by Amir Hoss. Its headquarters are based in Montreal, Quebec.[1]
The label operates as a music publishing house for TV and film as well as handling promotions and artist management services. Funktasy releases albums worldwide an operates across a wide range of genres. The main record label currently operates three sub-labels:
- Funktasy Gold (hip hop, R&B, urban and reggae music)
- Funktasy Platinum (house, EDM, dance and electronic music)
- Funktasy Diamond (pop, rock and top 40 music)
Current artists include Amir Hoss, AyrstoMega, Nnova, Bass Prada, Maria Masucci, and Venn.[2]
Funktasy has released music nationwide across Canada and internationally though the label has always maintained its strongest following in the Montreal region.[3]
