Dr Funsho Oladipo born (23 December 1950) is a Nigerian medical health care practitioner specialising as a General Practitioner (GP)[1] and the managing director of R-Jolad Hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria.[2]. He also served as the Past National President of Offa Descendant Union (ODU) between 2019-2023.[3][4][5]
Early life and education
He was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Oladipo of Agbopa Family in Offa local government of Kwara State in 1950. He graduated with distinction from the University of Ibadan (Faculty of Medicine) in June 1978.[6]
Career
He is a Nigerian medical health practitioner and the founder and director of R-Jolad Hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria[7] In 1979 he completed his internship at the General Hospital, Ilorin. He did his Mandatory National Youth Service Corps at the Sagamu Local Government Health Centre in 1980, and he was engaged by the First Shadrack Hospital, Association Ave., Ilupeju, Lagos from 1980 – 1982. In 1982 Dr Funsho established R-Jolad Hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria.[8]
Achievements
Dr Funsho established R-Jolad Hospital in 1982 in Lagos State, Nigeria, and the hospital is a multi-specialist hospital in the Gbagada area, growing from a primary health clinic with 10 beds into a 215-bed facility across different locations in Lagos. The hospital specialises in obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, endocrinology, general surgery, urology, and orthopaedics.[9][8]
Offa Descendant Union, under the leadership of Dr Funsho, established Offa One Innovation Hub, which aimed to create over 60,000 direct and indirect jobs for Offa and its environs’ youth between 2021-2030, as stated by the National President during the unveiling of the project.[10][11][12]
