Furries

Furries are one of the most misunderstood communities in the world! There are 2 communities with the name furry in it. The furry fandom/community and the anti-furry community. Let’s talk about anti-furries first. The anti-furry community is a community that does NOT like anything to do with furrys. Some saying the are scary, others saying they are “against the Bible.” In my opinion, they just say words to say words. Also they follow the crowd. There are also “burned furs” who are “Previous members of the furry fandom who have become disgusted with furries (i.e.Burned Furs). They may consider themselves "anti-furry" while still continuing to produce and/or consume media relating to anthropomorphics, using fursonas or participating in conventions or MUCKs. Conversely, they may not only cease any interest or association with the fandom in the future but will actively deny any previous involvement.” (See below to see where I got the information)

The term "furry fandom" is also used to refer to the community of people who gather on the internet and at furry conventions.” A big part of the furry fandom is a fursona a fursona is personalized animal character created by someone in the furry fandom.Fursonas may be anthropomorphic personas, idealized versions of their owners, fleshed out roleplay characters, or simply digital mascots.
