Future Agriculture Leaders of India

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Future Agriculture Leaders of India (FALI) is a unique, transformative educational program in India, directed at making agriculture attractive for the next generation, and giving young leaders the knowledge and experience to be successful in modern agriculture, agro-enterprise and agribusiness. FALI aims to both turn around the perception of students and their parents and increase the capacities of young people to succeed in modern farming and agro-enterprise. In its first two years, evaluations by the FALI students and their parents demonstrate dramatic changes in attitudes toward the future of India agriculture.

FALI has a unique approach to learning. The focus is on interactive learning and group problem solving, not lectures. Students participate in practicums and develop small businesses, including through use of the greenhouses and drip irrigation systems supplied by Jain Irrigation. FALI students get exposed to leading fruit exporters, to service companies and to modern farms and farmers.
