Gülnaz Sultan[1] was a concubine of Sultan Murad IV of the Ottoman Empire.
Biography[edit]
Little is know about her family background. Records says she was born in Bulgaria, daughter of a merchant. In 1636 she was given as gift to Murad by his sister, Atike Sultan. In 1637, Gülnaz gave birth to her fist Şehzade and earned the favorite status.
