Girls in Tech 365 (GIT 365) is an online and off platform created by KIVUHUB.

Our project focuses on building capacity in the ICT, access to information, and entrepreneurship sectors, which will open more opportunities for women to be skilled with new technology of information and communication for social and economic empowerment and community transformation, as well as self-employment. Access to information is a key factor in achieving our goal. We acknowledge that the process toward gender equality and quality education has just started and it is long, but our contribution to that cause will bring a new breath to those who will join our program, as well as impact their community in matters of information access, resource access, community development, job creation, women's rights, and other aspects of the society.

Use of Resources

The resources will be used to train 300 women for 3 months in different communities where we will have (100 female students from 5 local universities, 100 female entrepreneurs who are in technology/media and commerce, finally the rest 100 will be run online and all women who are eager to learn will join for free for 1 month and graduate with a certificate). This is the 1st phase.

About GIT365 campaign

In 2022, our program has been able to reach 100 women through an outreach program run in 3 big local universities during 3 days of training in Media management, Digital marketing, Cyber security, Online privacy, Ecommerce, and creation of gender-based gaps working groups. Due to Covid restrictions, we suspended physical activities. In 2019, the same program reached more than 300 primary and high school girls, which aimed to teach them about cyber bullying, online privacy, online threats, and other technology hot topics. This was done in rotation, moving across 5 high schools during a period of 2 months.
