History
GITEX AI India was announced during GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai as part of the expansion of the GITEX event portfolio into new international markets, including India and Brazil.[1]
The event was launched amid growing international interest in India's technology and artificial intelligence sectors. At the time of the announcement, India was expanding investment in artificial intelligence research, digital infrastructure, semiconductor manufacturing and startup development, while Bengaluru continued to be recognised as one of the country's principal technology hubs.[2][3]
In 2026, international coverage of India's AI sector highlighted government-backed initiatives, infrastructure investments and industry partnerships aimed at increasing the country's role in the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.[4][5]
Event
GITEX AI India is planned as a technology exhibition and conference bringing together companies, startups, investors, policymakers, researchers and technology professionals. The programme is expected to include keynote presentations, panel discussions, exhibition, workshops, demonstrations and startup competitions.[6]
The event's announced focus areas include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum technologies, semiconductors, data centres, digital infrastructure, biotechnology and health technology.[7]
