The GMC Pistol is a semi-automatic pistol of Argentine origin. The pistols were manufactured by Garb, Monetti y Cia in the city of Mar del Plata at a factory located in Almafuerte 3047 between the late 1960s and early 1970s.[1]
Overview
The pistols were of fair quality and had unsafe operation. They featured an aluminum frame and a steel barrel. All were painted black, with plastic grips. Except for some luxury models, the grips had silver or gold accents, and some had white plastic grips. Essentially, there were two models: the "Super 67" with a shorter barrel and the "SS" with a longer barrel. The Super 67 model had a 78 mm barrel and weighed 430 g. The SS model had a 95 mm barrel and weighed 450 g. Other than these differences, both models were identical, with a height of 118 mm and holding 8 rounds in the magazine.
