GOMO
GOMO by Singtel is an all-digital mobile brand based in Singapore. Launched on 25 March 2019.[1][2], GOMO is owned by Singtel and runs on Singtel’s mobile network.[3]
GOMO offers a postpaid no-contract SIM-only mobile plan. Operating as an all-digital brand, its primary communication channels available to customers are social media as well as live chat on its website and mobile app.
GOMO stands for Get Out More Often, expressing GOMO’s core values of value, freedom and ease.
History
2019
- March 2019: GOMO by Singtel launches
- June 2019: GOMO introduces Roam More Destinations, allowing customers to enjoy convenient data roaming across 10 destinations.
2020
- February 2020: GOMO introduces Roam Like A Local[4] add-on, allowing customers to use roaming data at local prepaid prices for popular Southeast Asian destinations (Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand).
- February 2020: GOMO introduces the GOMO Pass, a rewards program which curated deals for customers.
- June 2020: GOMO launches its own social media pages[5], including Facebook and Instagram.
- August 2020: GOMO launches IDD add-on packs, allowing customers to make overseas calls to 50 destinations.
Network & infrastructure
GOMO delivers voice, messaging and data services as a digital brand using Singtel’s mobile network, which has 4G+ outdoor coverage of 99.9% in Singapore[6].
Based on Ookla Q1-Q2 2020 speedtests, Singtel 4G is the fastest network in Singapore[7]
Brand personality & vision
A brand that aims to resonate with young millennials[8], the notion of not taking themselves too seriously helped inspire the playful brand name and positioning: Get Out More Often (GOMO).
