GTB Technologies, Inc. is an American cybersecurity AI based technology company headquartered in Newport Beach, California, United States. It focuses on providing enterprise class data protection and data loss prevention solutions within an organization, for data in the cloud, and for data protection outside the organization.

GTB Technologies was originally known as Proxyconn Security,[1] a subsidiary of Proxyconn, Inc., the creators of DSL Speed for Dialup, the first web accelerator for consumers, and the inventors of numerous caching[2] and intelligent secure content monitoring algorithms. Released around 2003, the Proxyconn Intelligent Content Monitoring solution was the only system on the market that created a secure content wall around an enterprise network.[3]

GTB Technologies, Inc. came about as a spin-off with different ownership from Proxyconn Inc. in 2004 to focus solely on the data protection market.[4] GTB Technologies, Inc. is self-funded and independent of any venture financing. In 2010, GTB Technologies, Inc. was included as a niche player in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention [5] In 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016 GTB Technologies was placed as a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Aware Data Loss Prevention.[6][7][8][9] Forrester Research's 2016 Wave for Data Loss Prevention[10] placed GTB Technologies' Enterprise DLP that Works Platform as a Strong Performer. 2018 IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Data Loss Protection 2018 Vendor Assessment placed GTB Technologies as a Major Player.[11] Gartner Peer Insights rated it 5 out of 5.0 stars.[12] 2018 Leader in Data Protection & Data Loss Prevention [13] May 2019 GTB Data Protection that Works received the Best DLP Solutions provider 2019 cybersecurity award.[14]
