GYROstream is an Australian digital music distribution and artist services company based in Brisbane, Australia with offices in Sydney and Perth. They represent independent artists both Australian and international, including Tia Gostelow, Chaika and JK-47.[1][2]
GYROstream launched in June 2018 to help Australian and New Zealand musicians put their music on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, and provide CD and vinyl manufacturing.[3][4] Initially similar to international companies such as TuneCore and CD Baby,[5] the company developed services to prepay future royalties and split royalties among collaborators, and later launched an in house digital marketing service for artists and events.[6][7] They have since expanded outside of Australia under the name DistroDirect, which launched in 2021.[8]
Since its inception, GYROstream has distributed multiple ARIA certified Gold Records, ARIA and AIR Award nominated releases, J-Award winners, Triple J Hottest 100 winning tracks.[1]
In May 2022 GYROstream entered the independent record label market when they launched GYROrecords. Their first signing was Brisbane artist Yb.[9]
Awards[edit]
On December 6, 2021, GYROstream was awarded Best Music Distributor of the Year as a part of The Music Network 2021 Tinnies.[10]
