Gabe Spencer is an American film and television actor best known for his work on the Book of Mormon Videos and A Seat for Everyone.

Early life[edit]

Spencer was born in San Diego, California on February 14, 1991. He and his family moved to several states, including Kentucky, North Carolina, and Florida, before eventually arriving in Utah when he was eleven years old. He studied at Brigham Young University, where he received several acting merit scholarships until graduating with a BFA in Acting in 2016.

Career[edit]

Spencer worked behind the camera as well as in front of it, working as a technical director for several seasons of Studio C on BYUTV and also as a set dresser on films such as The Fighting Preacher and The Killing Pact. After graduating from his BYU, Spencer gained most of his on camera experience in commercials, industrial videos, and television shows such as Yellowstone. Recently, Spencer has been featured playing the Oldest Son of Ishmael in the first season of the Book of Mormon Videos created by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Personal Life[edit]

Spencer spent several years teaching acting at a performing arts high school in American Fork, Utah. In 2019 Spencer left Utah and moved to Los Angeles, California to fully pursue a career as a professional film actor. In 2013 Spencer married his wife Lauren, a pharmacist from Spokane, Washington.
