Gabriel Novak (born July 19, 1995) is an American composer, conductor and multi-instrumentalist.[1]

Biography[edit]

Novak was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, the younger of two children of William and Margaret Novak. He attended Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After graduating high school Novak began studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he graduated with honors with a B.M., double majoring in Composition and Music Theory. He studied with Keith Fitch and Diane Urista, respectively.[2] Novak is currently pursuing a PhD at The University of Chicago, studying with Augusta Read Thomas.[3]
