From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Gabriele Levy (b. 9 October 1958) is an Italian Jewish sculptor, artist, writer, and web master.

Career[edit]

Levy dedicated 25 years to work mainly on the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, which are made in various materials.

He introduced the concept of "modular art", which is the meeting of two objects to form a unique visual ensemble and the observer decides which is the best aesthetic combination of pieces in the gallery.

In the last years he has been working on a photomosaic of his Hebrew letters, representing important paintings or pictures made of thousands of pictures of the Hebrew letters he made.

He has a workshop/gallery in the heart of Rome's ghetto. The name of the gallery is Alefbet, which in Hebrew means "The alphabet".
