'Gabriele Minak (born 1 June 2006) is an Italian artistic swimmer. He competes in men's solo events and mixed duet, and has won medals at the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup and at the European Junior Artistic Swimming Championships.[1]
Minak began artistic swimming in December 2014, at the age of eight, after watching his sister practise the sport.[2] He competed at the 2019 FINA World Youth Artistic Swimming Championships, where he placed fourth in the mixed duet, then returned to competition ahead of the 2023 season.[3]
In 2023, Minak competed on the World Cup circuit and won gold in the men's solo free event at the World Cup leg in Montpellier.[2][3] Later that year, he competed with Ginevra Marchetti at the European Junior Championships in Madeira, winning bronze medals in the mixed duet technical and mixed duet free events.[4]
At the 2024 European Junior Championships in Malta, Minak and Marchetti won the mixed duet technical event, becoming European junior champions in the discipline.[5][6]
In 2025, Minak won silver in the men's solo free event and bronze in the mixed duet technical event at the World Cup stop in Soma Bay, Egypt.[1] At the 2025 European Junior Championships in Athens, he won five medals: silver in men's solo free, silver in mixed duet technical, silver in acrobatic team, bronze in men's solo technical, and bronze in mixed duet free.[7] In its preview of the competition, Inside Synchro described Minak and Marchetti as the defending champions in the technical mixed duet.[8] European Aquatics later listed him among the nominees for the 2025 men's artistic swimming Athlete of the Year award.[9]
In 2026, he won bronze in the men's solo free event at the World Cup stop in Paris.[10][1]
