Gail Leven Pollock

Gail Leven Pollock is an American musician and composer.[1] She is the composer and arranger of over 30 organ, piano, and choral works for Shawnee Press (Hal Leonard)[2] and other major publishers. She is perhaps best known for her collections of orchestra-inspired Christmas organ and piano duets.[3]

Life

She is the daughter of a research chemist and a printer, both of whom had musical backgrounds. She earned a Master of Music degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. In addition to composing, she has served as a church organist, college instructor, and university accompanist.

She has performed as a singer, collaborative pianist, and organist in music festivals and choir tours in the United States, England, Austria, and Italy. She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), the American Guild of Organists (AGO), and the National Association for Music Education (NAFME).
