Gajendra Rathi is an Indian Film, TV and Theatre Actor, Anchor, Director and Producer. He is best known for hosting DD National’s Krishi Darshan program for the past 25 years.
Biography[edit]
Gajendra grew up in Delhi and went to Delhi University where he received his Master’s in Physiology.
Career[edit]
Early in his career, Gajendra performed in 'Nukkad Nataks', or Street theatre performances, in association the Delhi government. These performances centered around issues such as corruption, health, women empowerment, and education.
Through the 1900s, Gajendra appeared in a number of TV serial shows after making his debut on Sony TV's Bhanwar in 1992. He then went on to DD National and appeared in Bol Basanto, Baat Bapu Ki, Gadar Ki Goonj, Kyunki Jeena isi ka Naam Hai, Edipus. During this time, he was also part of India's Most Wanted for Zee TV.Gajendra also held the role of a cop in the 2011 film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!.[1]
Gajendra also produced the follow radio documentaries for DD National: Zehreela Saaya for DD National (1996), Gorakh Ke Roop Anek (2002), Gufa Wale Baba (2013).
Currently he works for Zindagi.com and as host and anchor for Krishi Darshan, which airs on DD National.
