GaleForce is a steel roller coaster located at Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City, New Jersey. The ride was manufactured by S&S - Sansei Technologies and opened on 26 May 2017. It reaches a height of 125 feet (38 m), has a maximum speed of 64 miles per hour (103 km/h), and features a 100 degree beyond-vertical drop, along with several non-inverting elements.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Announced in August 2015, Playland's Castaway Cove revealed GaleForce, which was originally intended to open the following year. Due to several delays, the ride didn't open until mid 2017.
Following numerous complaints regarding the ride's roughness, GaleForce was completely re-tracked in 2018.[4][5]
