Galerie Birch Monaco is a contemporary art gallery located in Monaco-Ville, Monaco. The gallery was opened in June 2017 by mother and daughter duo Anette and Caroline Birch, more than 70 years after the original Galerie Birch was founded in Copenhagen in 1946 by their art dealer father/grandfather Borge Birch. Birch was a post-war European art dealers who was honoured by the French government for his significant contribution to modern art in France.[citation needed]

Anette Birch assumed control of Galerie Birch in 1994. After moving to Monaco in 2011, she opened a gallery which works concurrently with the Copenhagen gallery, run by Annette's daughter, Caroline Birch.[citation needed]

Galerie Birch’s ties to France, and artists within the French-speaking region, begin as early as 1948. Two years after the opening of the gallery, Birch presented the works of Pablo Picasso to the Danish public for the first time, followed by Cuban painter Georges Braque. In its first five years, the art gallery also held exhibitions of Serge Poliakoff and Pierre Soulages.[1]
