Gam Lau (Chinese: 甘露) is a former actress from Hong Kong. Gam is credited with over 370 films.

Career[edit]

In 1948, Gam started her acting career in Hong Kong. Gam appeared as Sixth Aunt Chan in Woman's Heart, a 1948 drama film directed by Wu Pang. Gam appeared in Cantonese language Chinese opera films such as Tan Kei in the Meat Hill (1949), Peach Blossom Girl's Magic (1949), and The Blood Bee (1950). Gam appeared in many Hong Kong martial arts, comedy and drama films. Gam is known for her role as a wife or mother. Gam portrays a wife in films such as Cast Aside the Beloved One (1949), A Devoted Soul (Part 1 and Part 2) (1949), Sail on to Success (1951), Poor Mother (1951), Wise Guy (1952), A Cuckoo's Spirit (1954), and Doomed Love (1965). Gam portrays a mother in films such as Night of Romance (1952), The Enchantress (1952), Soul of the Jade Pear (1953), Wrong Wedding (1954), The One-Armed Swordsman (1966), and King Gambler (1976). Gam also appeared in The Private Eyes, a 1976 comedy film directed by Michael Hui. Gam is credited with over 370 films. [1]
