GameNation World is an exclusively online source of news dedicated to the world of video games, technology, and entertainment. Located in Southern Africa and operating since 2012, it is one of the leading gaming news publications in South Africa. It is headed by its editor-in-chief, Boris Bulj with various contributors writing occasionally for the publication including Michael "axtremes" Harmse, Darren Nair and Barry Louzada to name a few.

History[edit]

GameNation World is dedicated to providing its readers the latest news and updates on all things PC, console, and mobile. With that kind of coverage, they have managed to garner over 150,000 views per month with most coming from outside of Africa.

Since 2016 the editorial team has participated in various events such as RUSH Esports,ICON, rAge Expo and Comic-Con Africa,[2] offering full coverage.

In 2018 they launched an annual event, The Gaming Forum, which brings together local and some international speakers and gaming enthusiasts, various partners such as Easy Equities[3] Cougar Gaming, MSI, NAG[4] and many others to provide support in creating the space for open dialogue on important topics which include the local gaming community. The annual Gaming Forum in 2020 is still to be announced as the official website has been parked.[5]
