Music Career[edit]
Gao started singing music in bars at age 18, and performed for 8 years before he ultimately decided to quit.
In 2007, he moved to Beijing to develop his career as a songwriter.
Gao has written over 400 songs, most notably the hit song "My Good Brother" (我的好兄弟) sang by himself and Xiao Shenyang. The song was originally meant to be sung by Jackie Chan, however Chan wasn't interested.
