Garrett Coffey is an American actor, best known for his recurring roles as Roman in Bunheads and Greg "Slider" Rasenick in Major Crimes. He is the brother of actor Shane Coffey.
Career[edit]
Coffey's first major acting role was in the TV series, Bunheads, as Roman, the love interest of Julia Goldani Telles' character, Sasha. After playing this part from 2012 to 2013, he was cast as murder suspect "Slider" in Major Crimes (2014–2015).[1][2] According to the creator of the Major Crimes, James Duff, Slider was "the villain who has appeared more than any other on [the] series".[3] Coffey has also guest starred in episodes of Code Black (2016), Almost Family (2019), The Sinner (2020), 9-1-1 (2021), NCIS: Los Angeles (2021) and The Rookie (2022).
Coffey has landed parts in several films and TV movies. He had a lead role in Battle for Skyark (2015) and he played Bobby Beausoleil in Manson's Lost Girls (2016).[4][5][6] He appeared in Hard Sell (2016) and had a main role in the TV movie, Killer Vacation (2018). He played JJ in Drake Doremus's Endings, Beginnings (2019),[7] and Adam in Bret Easton Ellis's horror film, Smiley Face Killers (2020), alongside Crispin Glover and Ronen Rubinstein.[8]
Most recently, Coffey appeared in the miniseries, The Dropout (2022), based on the true story of Elizabeth Holmes. He played the part of Billy Evans, Holmes' boyfriend.[9][10][11]
In addition to his TV and movie work, Coffey acts in theatre productions, short films and web series. In 2015, he starred in the series, Us, which won several awards—among them, the Chain NYC Film Festival award for best web series.[12]
