Gary Wilkos

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Gary Wilkos is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management. Wilkos received a full athletic scholarship for football to attend the University of Massachusetts. He was a “blue chip” recruit out of his high school (Monsignor Farrell H.S. – NY), where he earned top honors from the United States Marine Corps as “Top H.S. Football Player” and from Coca-Cola as “Outstanding H.S. Football Achiever.” As the starting quarterback and an All-American Candidate for the University of Massachusetts, Wilkos suffered a broken neck on October 20, 1990, while competing in a scheduled NCAA football game against the Delaware Blue Hens. Wilkos lay on the field for close to 45 minutes without an ambulance. The ambulance delay caused great shame to the University of Delaware and the NCAA. Wilkos was placed in a halo for several months, followed by intense therapy. In 1990, Wilkos was recognized as Conference/Division 1-AA Co-Offensive Player of the Year for his accomplishments on the field. Upon graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Wilkos landed a job with the longest-running 5-star, 5-diamond resort in the United States, The Broadmoor, located in Colorado Springs, CO. Prior to this, Wilkos interned at the world-renowned Greenbrier in West Virginia under the direction of the resort’s president, Mr. Ted Kleisner. Wilkos spent 5 years at various positions at The Broadmoor. When he departed for a position at the Desert Inn, Las Vegas, NV, he was one of the top convention service managers at the prestigious Broadmoor property. Wilkos spent only 6 months at the Desert Inn and then joined Mirage Resorts, which later became MGM Corporation. As a national sales manager, Wilkos contracted some of the largest room blocks for citywide conventions such as COMDEX, the National Association of Broadcasters, MAGIC, World of Concrete, and many more. During this time, Wilkos was exposed to the world of major sporting/corporate hospitality travel. In 1999, Wilkos and a partner launched PreferredTicket.com. After an almost 10-year stint, Wilkos sold his interest and soon after launched Ticket Media Corporation. www.ticketmdiacorp.com

Wilkos, founder and president of www.ticketmediacopr.com, has been able to cater to the largest gaming institutions in the world as well as provide corporate hospitality programs for many Fortune 500 companies. Ticket Media Corp. is a staple in the Las Vegas marketplace, providing the finest level of service for events such as the Super Bowl, Final Four, The Masters, Kentucky Derby, U.S. Open Tennis, as well as World Cup Soccer, French Open, Formula One, and The Olympics on an international level.
