Gastrosexuality
Gastrosexuality is a neologism derived from gastronomy and sexuality. The term is used[by whom?] to describe men who cook, to impress friends and prospective male and female partners.[citation needed]
The rise of the term is related to the rise of iconic celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay whose British TV series are hugely popular and inspirational for a growing number of men to see cooking as a great hobby, making Oliver and Ramsay great role models for gastrosexuals[1][2] as an acceptable macho practice, rather than a more feminine or effeminate culture.
