Gatsby Digital, Inc was an American brokerage platform and social network offering no-commission stocks and options trading through a mobile app.[1][2] It was established on February 8, 2018, by entrepreneurs Ryan Belanger-Saleh and Jeff Myers[3][4][5][6][7] and in 2022 was acquired by eToro,[8] an Israeli multinational social investment and trading network, for $50,000,000[1][6][9] to provide trade options in the United States.[3][10][11]

History[edit]

On January 22, 2019, Gatsby Securities, LLC, the Company’s subsidiary, was formed, a FINRA-licensed broker-dealer approved to facilitate customer self-directed retail stocks and options trading.

The Gatsby app launched on iOS and Android in early 2020. In 2023, the Gatsby mobile app was rebranded as eToro Options.[8]

Fundraising[edit]

In April 2020, Gatsby raised funding through venture capital firms led by SWS Venture Capital with participation from Barclays, Rosecliff Ventures, and Techstars. SWS Founder and Partner Steve Streit joined Gatsby’s Board of Directors.[8][14][3]
