Gaurav Amlani is an Indian actor, writer, and voice-over artist who predominantly works in Theatre, Hindi television, Hindi films.
Career[edit]
Amlani has worked in theatre both as an actor and director. He was a part of the 2018 critically acclaimed film Manmarziyaan directed by Anurag Kashyap, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Abhishek Bachchan, where he essayed the role of Raja.[1]
Amlani was the writer of the short film Picture Abhi Baaki Hai, and starred in it.He played a determined participant in a filmmaking competition, who gets ditched by his teammates at the last moment. He refuses to give up and believes life must stop at nothing. The film was awarded "Bronze Flim of the Year- Mobile" in the category "50 Hour Filmmaking Challenge" by Indian Film Project in 2020 (Season 10)[2].
Amlani made an episodic appearance in the Hindi youth-based show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (TV series) opposite Kajal Sharma in 2021.
He also played the role of Pinkesh in the 2021 film Shiddat starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan and Mohit Raina.
Amlani played a pivotal role in the Hindi show Punyashlok Ahilyabai from September 2021 to December 2022. He was paired opposite Aetashaa Sansgiri who portrays the titular role of Ahilyabai Holkar. He has received a lot of appreciation for his performance as Khanderao Holkar.[3]
