Gaurav Pokharel is a young and well known Kathmandu-based investigative journalist. Currently, he is working as a Sub-Editor at onlinekhabar.com[1], the most visited online news portal of Nepal. Pokharel[2] mainly covers issues of crime, security, defense and national security.

His reporting on How is Nepal becoming a factory of fake documents?[3] How is political interference taking place in the prisons of Nepal? [4] (etc.) are most read investigative story. Before, starting his carrier as crime reporter, he was a Jhapa district correspondent for onlinekhabar.com.
Before joining onlinekhabar.com, he was RJ at Radio Birat 88.5 Mhz, Jhapa. He had also worked for Bibechana Daily[5], a local newspaper at Jhapa.
Pokharel is also a top-five finalist of Glocal Teen Hero Award[6]. He was speaker at Glocal International Teen Conference-2017, too.
