Geetanand Gaddam (born 30 Nov 1993) is an Indian actor predominantly works in Telugu cinema. He debuted in 2018 in Chandra Shekhar Kanuri's Action Romantic Drama Ratham (2018)[2] and gained recognition for his Performance and proved himself as a promising new lead actor in the Telugu film industry. Geetanand has established himself as a leading actor of Telugu cinema by starring in films such as Telisi Teliyaka (2013), Ratham (2018), Boys (2023) which is ready for release in theatreas of andhra pradesh and telangana during summers of 2023. His second film Ratham was one of the few movies for selling its hindi dubbing rights for a whopping number which surprised new productions houses . He owns Golden Wings Production, a film & entertainment production company, which is a part of a film Game On[3](2023). The filming of the project is completed and looking for a theatrical release for Summers 2023. They have also lined up 4 multi lingual projects for production followed by Game On[4]
Early and personal life
Geetanand[5] was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh to Kumar Babu Gaddam and Prabhavathi. His father is a Producer, and distributor in Telugu and Tamil cinema who has released the movies like kamal Haasan’s Eenadu, Utthama Villian, and a few more that gained recognition and success. He was sent to P. Obul Reddy Public School, Jubilee Hills until 10th grade. He was the Sports Captain in his senior secondary school, Meridian, Banjara Hills, and holds National certification in the sport of Basket Ball. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Mary’s University, Hyderabad. He has a younger brother, Dayanand, who is a director in Telugu cinema debuting with his first directorial film Boys(2023).
Career
Geetanand made his debut with writing and acting in his short films with his own production company called Third eye studios. He has written and directed short films like Fiend, Love vs life, Dhanam Moolam Idham jagath (collaboration with Tamada media) which are streaming on youtube. He has also written the script for a web series, Nakshatra (2016), which was produced by Infinitum media starring Faria Abdullah before Jaati Ratnalu.He later found his passion as an actor in South Indian cinema as his medium of expressing and appeared in G. Prakash’s telugu film called Thelisi Teliyaka[6] as one of the lead roles which was produced by Ispace Media. He was introduced to Chandra Shekhar Kanuri who worked as a writer and associate director for Chandra Shekhar Yeliti, who later cast him in the lead role for the 2018 film Ratham alongside actor Chandini Bhagwanani and Naren. The film was produced by the Raja Darapuneni with Kumar babu, producer in the Telugu film industry. Suresh Production supported the release of the film Ratham which eventually gained good recognition during promotions and post release of the film. The films digital streaming rights were sold to prime video and sony later.
