History

The company further diversified its operations by establishing a storage terminal in Porto Romano, Durrës, in 2012, enabling direct fuel imports and storage.

Operations

Gega Oil operates a network of over 90 gas stations across Albania. The company supplies approximately 40% of the domestic fuel market and has a significant presence in neighboring countries, including Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Additionally, Gega Oil provides fuel to about 50% of the yachts visiting Albania and serves a substantial portion of the local fishing fleet.

Market Position

In 2021, Gega Oil reported a turnover of 36 billion ALL (approximately 300 million euros), making it the second-largest fuel trading operator in Albania by revenue. Despite the significant turnover, the company reported low profit margins, characteristic of the fuel trading industry.

Environmental Initiatives

Gega Oil is investing in green projects, including the establishment of electric vehicle charging stations, to promote sustainable energy solutions.
