General de Divisão (Brazil)
General de Divisão in Brazilian Army is the grade of three stars generals. It is the second rank of generals, between General de Brigada and General de Exército. They are normally employed to command a Division. Nowadays, there are about forty places of General de Divisão in the Army.
From each promotion graduated at the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras, about 400 lieutenants, only 10 will reach the rank of General de Divisão.
It correspondents ranks in Brazilian Navy and Air Force are Vice Almirante and Major Brigadeiro.
