The Generation Future (Italian: Generazione Futuro, GF) was the youth wing of Future and Freedom.

History[edit]

Initially born as a youth association within Generation Italy, on 31 January 2011 it became the official youth organization of Future and Freedom.

The symbol was "a tricolor ring that encloses a green background with a blue shield overlaid, which houses the white writing Generazione Futuro".

The national coordinator, who according to the party statute was part of the National Secretariat of Future and Freedom by right, was Gianmario Mariniello.[1]

Those who were between 14 and 30 years of age could enroll in Generation Future. Those convicted of mafia crimes, against the public administration and for sentences exceeding 5 years could not join the organization".[2]

Most of the leaders of GF come from Young Italy: among others, the former national coordinator of Young Italy, Francesco Pasquali, joined GF. The official magazine of the organization was "Destination Future".[3]

It ceased its activity in 2013, following the electoral failure of Future and Freedom in the 2013 general election.
