Gennady Andreev

Gennady Vasilevich Andreev (Russian: Генна́дий Васи́льевич Андре́ев; 13 August 1950 – 15 September 2002) was a Russian astronomer, mathematician, sportsman, and traveler who specialized in global catastrophes and meteorites.[1][2]
Minor planet 4199 Andreev was named for him.[3]
